Well speaking from personal experience same thing keeps happens to me, the thing my friends would talk about is their problems and what should they do about it, It's been like when I talk about anything I found them keeps cutting me off except when I am talking about them, their problems, their life, what's going on with them and only them, But if I turned the subject about myself or an issues that it's mine, I found them surprisingly make it turns about them back, while sharing with a similar issues that's going on with them.
If I said something like 'I was really sick last night' I find the person whom I am talking with went like 'tell me about it!, I have been really sick this week'!
And what is wrong with these people asking a question and answering it themselves, I mean it's not a competition, People you are not going to win a binny lol
The surprising thing and it's might shock you, that I do it to myself sometimes, And thats a new face for the cutting off, When I start to talk about a subject like 'I look fantastic tonight, ..' and all of a sudden I found myself cutting myself off with the absolute opposite for what I started, like 'God look how fat my belly is in this Pants, ...'
I, personally think it's when you speak yourself loudly the sound somehow became senseless and you found yourself changing your mind in less than a minute =D
And when I try to describe something to someone, 'This mobile is so amazing full of options you can, oh but it's cam is not that amazing, I guess you don't wanna have this phone'
Geez!
PS. it's my first time to blog, And haven't even read a blog for someone before (maybe I have but not worth mention) anyways here we go my thoughts and what's up with me.
btw my mom's birthday is today and I made her a nice cake :)
Happy birthday mamotii

Oh yes, tell me about it.. It happens with me too :-P
ReplyDeleteI think that between friends, everyone wants to talk about him/herself more, so when you start talking, you, perhaps, imagine that you need to talk more and share your thoughts. But once you start it, the other side thinks that you want listen as well.
Concerning the way how you look sometimes and the contradiction between yourself and yourself, I believe that it depends essentially on your picky nature, as a girl, criticizing the others and yourself. I'm sure that you are aware about how girls like to fascinate everyone around, so this requires to have this self competition.
....
Hey girl, don't start it now.. you are doing good so far, so stop this picky nature in you :-P
BTW, HBD for Mee2a. :-)
But what did you say? 24? Are you insisting? :-P

ReplyDeleteWant an honest voice? If we neglect the few lame comments from the same person, who, btw, you should really stop corresponding with for the sake of your own reputation and enlightenment - and the overall vibration in the writing style and command over your English, I think you could do much more effort to present a blog entry that's worthy reading. Nothing's wrong or too picky about a proper sentence that starts with a capital and ends with the proper punctuation. It's healthy and it makes your post (much more!) readable.
ReplyDeleteAs for the subject at hand, I would like to point out that this very life we're living is fundamentally based on the concept of sharing. We are all entitled to invest in our health, our children, our future - and most importantly, in the relationships we have. Friendship, being a very common relationship between peers, is the most sacred "investment" you could ever have. I think if you spend more time listening you would get the same in return. If you don't, then that person is not your friend. Friends invest in their friendship and in order to keep it alive you have to be the ear and the heart most of the time.
If you have friends who complain all the time - issue them an ultimatum. If they keep complaining it's going to kill your friendship and your level of interest. Having good friends is the purpose, not just having friends. It's like life; the whole purpose of it the journey, not the finish line.
We've been made to embrace the understanding that our friends reflects upon our own self. If your peers are shallow you shalt be shallow. And like they say in Arabic: "al qareen 3ala al moqaran yonsabo", be very picky about your friends. And I, for someone who haven't had the chance to meet your inner circle of friends, believe that you fail miserably at it.
@ pica, It's a pleasure seeing you here in my own comfort zone that most people like to call blog :)
ReplyDelete@ Sorcer You know what, you remind me with el masal el masry elly by2ol sama3o el magnoun taraf el khabar lol
Do you know what's having OWN blog really mean? It mean that you can write, talk the way you like and speak your mind or even other people's mind!
look at you seeking for perfection, talking about how perfect my blog should start with a perfect intro post and some old talk that you can't come up with better than it since the first day i knew you,
I mean come on is that the best you can say, the best you can came up with, My gramma can say better than that lol
Speaking of failure, I am glad that YOU find my friends and my choices of having any is on the failing stand as it's for you (your opinion) it give me more relief that I am on the right path, and I won't grow old alone, unfortunately like you, yes I think that you'll grow old alone (I hope that you have a hiding plane B for life somewhere)
I really don't wanna say what I think of you - your friends- cause I am still Muslim!
Now, it's raining, lol. :D
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see your updates, so keep posting and expressing yourself, by yourself with your own style. ;-)
Rana,
ReplyDeleteUnlike yourself I _do_ know what having a personal blog mean. I think it's idiotic from your part when you stated by your own words that you're the new face to this world - and yet you're accusing us the old bloggers of not having a clue of what we are saying. Saddens me as of it because all i asked for was merely making sure you type correctly. That's not perfection. You seem to have a very wrong idea about seeking perfection. This is more like seeking to keep your own readers balls in place.
I'm glad that your grandma can come up with better than I do, lol, you should listen to her more often then. You personally told me me, about long months ago, that friends are those who tell you you suck when you really suck. And I think we both know who's the source of that quote. It's not about them cursing you when you do suck - but actually about them being _honest_ with you about it. I find you surrounded by people who lack the motivation and sense of judgment to try and guide you to bring the best in you. Be it because they have failed to do so for themselves. Or because they have other agendas for you. Or simply because they don't care as long as you're not surpassing their skills. Whatever reason they have I think you should reconsider the whole thing.
I think, throughout my very short time on earth, I have made friends with a couple of good and faithful friends. Friends who would speak good of me in presence and in my absence. I think you know one of them. Or at least I hope you _know_ one of them. Don't be judgmental because trust me, it's a very slippery business.
I'm also sorry that you chose to attach me rather read through my words, this if it shows anything, it shows that you're incapable of taking criticism (which was only a mere request for proper punctuation usage! I can't imagine how you would react if I made a personal analysis of your persona). For the business of making fun of people I had my very HUGE share, you can ask around - so doing so with me isn't quite the best approach to reply, imnsho.
Fool of Picasso, I feel pity for you, we all do.
lol...lol... bring it on!
ReplyDeleteYehia I do not easily get offended at all by criticism, I bet that anyone could say to me that I haven't already said to myself over the years :D
Yes I remember when I said that a true friend who says you suck when you really are.
From family, Maybe i'll try to set and listen and learn, from friends (it depends) I may listen, may not
From a compelete stranger, I really don't care (even if he was right)
Gosh Yehia, in my last reply I tell you about the meaning of having blog (apperantly it didn't turn so well as we both can see)
So now i'll try a new word, how about the meaning of constructive criticism?
Do you know what does it mean?
Maybe I've a short life experience, unlike other people, like you masaln!
but I know how to make a distinction between, constructive criticism and a complete rudeness, and It seems like I am allergic to the last one.
Speaking of the reader's sake I don't think that my nonsense intro post, my lack of English skills and frogetting to starts with a capital and ends with a dot stopped you from reading my posts not just at this part, no, you made a comments and you're talking about what you saw between the lines, Well I am doing a good job so far :]
Look I don't wanna waste time and energy and make an idiot out of myself by searching for the differences between us, while the only common thing between us alomst exploded in you last sentence, we booth fools for someone else, ehh aren't we all? ahaha
lol - Rana, let it be recorded that I tried. I hope you find peace in your blog, for I wont be disrupting it again.
